Pre-sales

• Plan and execute sales interventions.
• Generate and qualify leads for sales execution.
• Conduct extensive customer research to determine the best solution.
• Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
• Use a highly consultative approach to develop the best client solution.
• Identify the decision-maker and shape a solution conducive to closing the deal.
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets.

Sales

• Conduct meetings at all levels, including C-suite executives.
• Conduct in-depth needs analyses to determine the best solution.
• Deliver occasional Board presentations.
• Identify and contact sales prospects, including cold calling.
• Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
• Negotiate persuasively with the goal of closing high-value deals.

Relationship management

• Establish and maintain current and potential client relationships.
• Identify and resolve client concerns.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive product knowledge.
• Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.

General responsibilities

• Report on sales schedules, activities and planned actions.
• Participate in marketing events and networking opportunities.
• Report on competitor activity.
• Capture CRM data and maintain its integrity across all client and lead contact points.
• Work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications and experience

• A relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing or Economics, and/or at least two years’ sales experience with a track record of closing high-value deals.
• A valid Code 8 driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Advanced PC knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• CSR investment and/or supplier-development experience is an advantage.

Sales expertise

• Sound business acumen and the ability to develop a client base.
• Confidence engaging high-profile corporate clients.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations and close deals.
• Persuasiveness, influence and strong negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to set and reach stretch targets.

Interpersonal and communication

• Sound interpersonal skills, creativity and the ability to mix with people.
• Excellent verbal, written, negotiation and presentation skills.
• A strong hunter with some farming skills and a clear closer mindset.
• Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
